Adjustable Cleaning Chuck

Standard TSK probe station probe-needle-cleaning methods involve contact with an ceramic abrasive pad at +/- 15 micron to remove the debris. An additional bronze disk is used as a shorting pad. And although this does clean the needles, it also decreases the life of both needles and probe card by wearing down the needles unevenly (+/- 15 micron).

But now there’s an alternative cleaning method that is more effective, enables you to specify tighter tolerances, and keeps probe cards on the job longer. It’s Prober Solutions patent-pending Adjustable Cleaning Chuck.

Standardization with the Universal Tooling Plate

Then Prober Solutions introduced the revolutionary Universal Tooling Plate (UTP), the first truly universal solution for prober to tester interfaces. This patented protected device is designed to provided for rapid installation and removal. It provides a standard in the head stage aperture and allows all alignment pins and docking jigs to be mounted to it. Because the docking hardware and insert ring are attached to the UTP rather than the prober station, the entire assembly—UTP, docking hardware, and insert ring—can be easily removed for installation on any other prober station.
